Subject: AWNAA Legislation

Washington, DC

Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008

The newly-elected Congress will be considering sweeping legislation that will provide new benefits for many Americans. The Americans With No Abilities Act (AWNAA) is being hailed as a major legislative goal by advocates of the millions of Americans who lack any real skills or ambition.

“Roughly 50 percent of Americans do not possess the competence and drive necessary to carve out a meaningful role for themselves in society,” said the planned legislation’s proposer, California Senator Barbara Boxer. “We can no longer stand by and allow People of Inability to be ridiculed and passed over. With this legislation, employers will no longer be able to grant special favors to a small group of workers, simply because they have some idea of what they are doing.”

Private-sector industries with good records of non-discrimination against the Inept include retail sales (72%), the airline industry (68%), and home improvement ‘warehouse’ stores (65%). At the state government level, the Department of Motor Vehicles also has an excellent record of hiring Persons of Inability (63%).

Under The Americans With No Abilities Act, more than 25 million “middle-person” positions will be created, with important-sounding titles but little real responsibility, thus providing an illusory sense of purpose and performance.

Mandatory non-performance-based raises and promotions will be given so as to guarantee upward mobility for even the most unremarkable employees. The legislation pr ovides substantial tax breaks to corporations that promote a significant number of Persons of Inability into middle-management positions, and gives a tax credit to small and medium-sized businesses that agree to hire one clueless worker for every two talented hires.

Finally, the AWNAA contains tough new measures to make it more difficult to discriminate against the Non-abled, banning, for example, discriminatory interview questions such as, “Do you have any skills or experience that relate to this job?”

“As a Non-abled person, I can’t be expected to keep up with people who have something going for them,” said Mary Lou Gertz, who lost her position as a lug-nut twister at the GM plant in Flint, Michigan, due to her inability to remember “rightey tightey, lefty loosey.” “This new law should be real good for people like me,” Gertz added. With the passage of this bill, Gertz and millions of other untalented citizens will finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Said Senator Boxer: “As a Senator with no abilities, I believe the same privileges that elected officials enjoy ought to be extended to every American with no abilities. It is our duty as lawmakers to provide each and every American citizen, regardless of his or her inadequacy, with some sort of space to take up in this great nation and a good salary for doing so.”

President-Elect Obama has acknowledged his debt to those who will be qualified under new AWNAA law for their vital, near-100% voting record for him in Tuesday’s election. He noted his shared bond with them, as well as his commitment to prompt passage of the new legislation. Senator Reid and Congresswoman Pelosi have assured the President-Elect that its passage in January  by the new farther-left Congress is a “done deal.”

If you haven’t caught it by now, know that this was a joke, but scarily not that far from the truth.

How to make money

Gary always seems to have somthing great. I like what he’s saying here just remember that wether or not your strategy merges exactly with what he is advising to do you have to consider one thing. What has got you to buy before? Or even simpler, what causes you to take enough notice to share something or forward an email? People have to stand out, the most consisten way to stand out is to, as Gary says, “HUSTLE.” You’d be amazed at what a little bit of action can do. I garuntee you that 99% of the people not making money online aren’t doing it because they just don’t take action. They think about it, talk about it, learn about it but never do it. So get moving.

The Ultimate Branding Strategy

How can you be involved in a variety of things, make multiple streams of income and still have specific and powerful brands in each niche market? Where do you drive traffic first? How do you make sense of it all?
These have been my questions, and I think a few simple thoughts, questions, and realizations that I have had will help you in developing your personal brand. Read on and you’ll find out how to start the process of figuring this out and why it matters.

There is a key concern that needs to be addressed and will make more sense as you read this.

Brands are specific.  Brands are niches.  Brands create followers, movements and tribes.  You however may not be.  You are dynamic.  You are changing.  You will be involved in multiple businesses, ventures and projects throughout your life time.  So how do you deal with both?  We live in a world where YOU MUST BE A BRAND.  You must be niche you must build a following, innovate and lead… or perish.  The conflict and dillema here is that the world is changing so rapidly, and your interests may need to be diversified to such an extent that you can not brand them all in one place.  If you tie yourself to only one ship ultimately you will sink.  So how do you lead and get people to follow you AS WELL AS the ventures you’re involved in?

There are a few simple steps that may help you to understand this concept and apply it in your life and in your business.

1. Brand Called you- you have to brand yourself as an entrepreneur or someone in business or the most general area of interest you will have. This is YOU as a person. That is what this site is for me.  You must first develop this brand and this site, but your success with this is based on the next two items.  (You’ll have to figure out number 3 for your self first, but once you do the order to implement this is number 2 then 3)

2. Everything leveraged through the internet is made in the real world first. Networking, getting to know people, and being a good net worker is still ultimately a huge key to success. One of the books that most profoundly influenced me on this subject was “Never Eat Alone” by Keith Ferrazzi.  Simply stated, you want to create a portal to all the rest of your ventures.  This is essential because you are always going to be meeting people doing things or just sending emails.  Do you have a domain name, a site where people can go to learn more about you?  How “googleable” are you?  Whether you like it or not and whether you actively promote yourself or not, people who don’t know you now will want to be able to test you by googling you.  The key to expanding you business, life, happiness, and income is probably in exchanging with people who you do not know yet.  Your own personal site gives you a level of credibility that set you apart and automatically makes you a desirable person to do business with.  YOU must have a personal site, so that the next time you send an email, hand out your business card, write a comment on a blog, or even give a speech you can give people the permission to give you credibility by googling you.

3. SO where do you start to develop You?  YOU in the market place may be involved in a variety of things. What about you is unchanging though? This is where we talk about soul purpose. There are two people who have taught me an amazing amount about soul purpose, they are Garrett Gunderson and Garret White. This is a deep and extensive topic but focusing on branding there is a specific focus to consider.

You’re soul purpose basically defined is “The combination of inborn abilities and passions that identify a person as an individual, and provide a natural direction for that person’s most fulfilling life.” (Economics of Soul Purpose, p6)

More simply stated you may know it as a mission statement. I’m spending some time here because this is the key, critical element to your entire business strategy in a “world that’s flat”, dynamic, 2.0 and changing faster and more drastically than anyone could have ever thought. It all comes back to the idea of your own personal economy. Ultimately the only security that can ever be real is the value built inside yourself. Knowing that, you will inevitably decide to take that to the world.  Soul Purpose is expressed in a variety of ways. Mine has a lot to do with adventure, helping others, being creative, pushing limits, and making new possibility. As you can see from my blog, it’s all about the idea of adventure, truly living and finding new things about yourself every day.

Well, obviously that is never going to be just one business. My soul purpose is not my business, it is not net work marketing specifically, it is not travel, it is not any one of my talents, passions, or abilities. These are all expressions of my soul purpose.

So your first step in this entire process is deciding what you are about regardless of the market. Regardless of your industry. Regardless of what is in demand. Regardless of any outside condition. Who are you at the core that is unchanging? The powerful question I asked myself when first trying to determine my soul purpose was very simple yet had a huge impact on me. I have since shared it with several people and had many eye opening experiences.

“What was the central continuing theme/element that was a part of everything you have ever been passionate about or everything you’ve ever been “into?”

You see, this soul purpose/mission statement discussion is a very deep one, but you have to find a central theme. I looked back at my life and saw that I had been passionate, fully engaged and truly so excited and into different things that I ate, breathed, and slept that activity or project. The activity or project or focus changed from time to time, but there was something about me that was consistent. I hope that helps illustrate the concept and why it is important.

Just remember that YOU are the most niche, niche their ever could be.

WHY DOES IT MATTER?

This is important because the only brand you will ever tie yourself to that CAN NOT CHANGE is you.  Your reputation, image, and persona goes out to the world whether you like it or not.  Make sure you like it and many other people will too, you’ll be able to have followers of just you.  This is one of the ultimate keys to success, especially in our market today.  It is specifically key to many of the people I know will be reading this in the network marketing industry.  Ultimately, whatever industry you are in today, whatever business you are in, your success in marketing and promoting that business all boils down to one simple thing.  Leadership.  “If you have followers, you’ll have dollars.”

How do I do this?

Here is where we transition from philosophical to practical.

4. Your “You Site” (PS a “you site” is ridiculously simple to get set up.  visit my associates at Mojonomic to get yours) is where you build leadership in the market place it is also where you send people on your business card or the signature on your emails.  This is the hub for you.  Everything tied to you goes here, you may send someone to a specific site for a specific purpose but generally and always this site will be where everyone can find you online.  It’s location never changes, and people can always follow you there.

Your “You Site” then sends people to different areas of interest and to each one of your ventures.  You have to be passionate about everything you do because it will show.  SO you may have links to your MLM business, to your affiliate marketing project, you may have a real estate section or some other kind of investment you are doing, whatever you are promoting and/or monetizing needs to be tied to your “You Site.” Now you can focus on building relationships founded on you.  The ventures you’re involved in will change but people’s trust in you and for you will not, as long as you continue to build quality relationships and a following in the market place.

5. For a Brand or promotion to be successful it must be specific and simple.

This is such a key concept.  If you have a network marketing or affiliate marketing opportunity you are promoting, the site you create and the brand you create specifically for that must be specific.  There’s a multitude of reasons but basically it all has to do with two things

First: How people Find you.

Second: Conversion.

How people find you is ultimately based on their interest.  People search online for what they are interested in.  You come up in a conversation between two people because you have a specific solution to a specific problem.  People blog about a specific thing you say or do.  So for the brand of each venture to work it needs to be focused and specific.  The great thing about this is that you can outsource and automate each brand.  Let’s say you’re on the board of directors for a new start up, include it on your businesses page of your own site, then link to a specific site about that.  You don’t have to go out actively promoting that specific venture in all your networking, just promote you and people will find it.

Conversion is the same story.  Specific sites get specific results.  When you land on a capture page, if there is more than one choice for people to make the choice they will often make is no choice at all.

That’s it.  This turned out to be a lot longer than I thought but I hope it was insightful and helpful to you.  To summarize here’s the simple formula.

The formula:

YOU AS A BRAND FOR WHAT YOU ARE + NETWORKING AND BEING A PERSON OF GREATNESS AND SIGNIFICANCE + ALL YOUR OPPORTUNITIES + SPECIFICITY WITH THOSE OPPORTUNITIES TO THEIR NICHE = HUGE SUCCESS WITH ALL YOU DO.

or if you like steps

1. build the brand called you, have a “you site

2. network and go about doing business and always bring people back to this site to increase your value and credibility in the market place

3. use your “you site” as a hub and a traffic control center to send people to specific sites for specifc brands you have created for specific purposes.

Book review.  Right now I am reading Tribes, by Seth Godin.  It is an amazing book.  This is such a key paradigm shift that needs to be had by everyone in business today.  The day’s of the king and that balloon factory are dead. (You’ll get it once you read the book) and the age of the heretic is coming into it’s time.

This book will change your mind in a way that will save you in the dynamic market place we are now entering.  Peter Drucker said, “In a few hundred years, when the history of our time is written from a long term perspective, it is likely that the most important event those historians will see is not technology, not the internet, not e-commerce.  It is an unprecedented change in the human condition. For the first time-literally-substantial and rapidly growing numbers of people have choices.  For the first time, they will have to manage themselves.  And society is totally unprepared for it.”Peter Drucker

Seth Godin is preparing people for this, and you can understand it better by reading Tribes.

Power of Co-operative Capitalism

I found this just recently.  I only share it because I was actually there and it was an extremley powerful message and concept to me.  We actually discuss this in my new book that will come out online in the end of December.  It’s worth a few minutes of your time.

AJ

Do you understand the power of a press release?

“Is what you are doing working for you when you’re sleeping?”  Although most of us these days, at least those who truley do enjoy their work, suffer from entrepenurial insomnia you have to ask yourself this question again and again.  It is kind of my mantra, and one of the key goals of each business is to get to the point that you have something so leveraged, so automated, and so effective that you really can get it to run money straight into your bank account even while you’re sleeping.  A big focus for me is in the network marketing world and we often talk about this.

FOr me, you have to put systems in place to find, educate, enroll, and train your prospects for you and pay you for it.  With that said, there is a simple formula.

Traffic + affiliate based funded proposal recruiting system = new people in your downline = $$$ while you sleep.

The question is how to get the traffic.  There are a lot of ways but I really like to push the idea of investing you time and not spending it.  By the same token, invest you money don’t spend it.  What do I mean?  And what does this all have to do with press releases and traffic?  Everything.

You have to look at the end result.  Everytime you add more value to the world, with your website it stays and produces forever.  That’s the difference and the leverage in creating content vs paying for visitors.

When you pay for a visitor, most of the time, it is a one time transaction.  They click on your ad, the see your site and either they engage and eventually buy or leave and forget you forever.  When you invest your time and or money into creating something like a press release, something that stays out there forever it can keep working for you for a long time to come.  It brings people to your site through search, social media, and keeps them there while building your credibility all because of its value.  I am not trying to dive into a completely technical lecture on the subject here I just want to emphasise the point and help each person understand how to build something that can work without them.

Start writing more than just ads.  Press releases are extremely valuable to get search engine rankings, I ahve a few associates and friends who teach how you can do that, if you want to see their stuff just visit:

My friends at Mojonomic: www.mojonomic.com

That’s all for now.  Enjoy the video, I was impressed with the idea of a social media press release and will be further investigating this company.

Social Media in Plain English

Really, I just wanted to give everyone an example of the power of good content. Not only is this video a good explanation for you to start getting your head around this powerful advertising medium, but it is also and example of what people will do to promote you if you produce something of quality. I did a search for good videos on you tube, just to start looking for something worth sharing, and now I am promoting this company for them all because they posted something worth viewing on You Tube. Pretty cool huh.

What Separates the "B" and the "S"?

We have all read cashflow quadrant, and understand the importance associated with the way you generate income. One of the key and important issues is what you are compensated for and what/who works for you. It could basically be

:

1. Your time/efforts
2. Your Knowledge
3. Your money (or other people’s money that you have leveraged)
4. OTHER PEOPLE’S time/efforts/knowledge/and money

The difference lies in who or what is doing the work. The self employed person does nearly everything, they are the source of income they are directly involved in every step of creating value, or nearly every step. The business owner is just that, the owner of a system of people, processes, and “machine’s” that continually produce value with or without his or her direct involvement.

My focus here is a bit different than the standard discussion of the differences, because I am actually referring to a mindset and a strategy.

For those of us in MLM, many aspects of a traditional business are actually handeled, we don’t have to do much but market. That’s where this interesting phenomenon that spured my creation of and focus on this topic of MLM business ownership as a whole stems from.

What separates the super stars and the so-so in MLM is a mindset. The mindset of being a true business owner. There is one aspect of the defenition given by robert Kiyosaki on the topic of business ownership that originally drew me in and is my main goal with any business from here forward. This one thing is also the key to creating a true business asset in MLM.

“You are a business owner if you could leave for a year and come back to find the business bigger than when you left.”

Many have been able to make this happen in MLM, yet it requires a skill set, sacrifice, and personality so uniqe that is is basically an impossibility for most. That is part of why we have such high failure rates in MLM.

I want to change the defentition just a little bit for our purposes. The only change will be in length of time. To me there are a few levels:

1. “You are a TRUE MLM B when you can leave your business for a month or more and see significant growth.”

This level is achievable by most simply by finding enough people who would do it with or without you whether or not you quit and having enough of the right tools and systems in place that they do not need you. Many people have reached this level, however the problem is if you stop working, leave for a month, then return, it will take you a significant amount of time to get that momentum back to be able to grow. This is really just a phase of growth and the first taste of residual income.

2. “You are a TRUE MLM B when you can leave your business for 3 months or more and see significant growth.”

This is where I think you have really begun to build something that will last. If you have things set up so well, so automated and so fine tuned that you are making money from multiple sources related to your business, so much so that even if there is an internal problem with the company and opportunity its self you maintain an income, you have a real business asset. You may not be to the point that you could sell it, but you are getting there. At this point you truely understand out sourcing, systems, and leverage and have applied these strategies to your business.

3. “You are a TRUE MLM B when you can leave your business for a 6 months to a year and see significant growth.”

You’re there. There are so many people, running so many well entrenched and perfected and fine tuned systems that are designed to kick of residual income to you, that you are no longer needed to maintain or grow income. The other factor here is that this happens because of the design of the system its self.

Now I want to make a disclaimer. This entire idea can carry some interesting and even false paradigms for success. Two examples come to mind.

1. You should be involved in things you love and ultimately want to spend time doing. Your businesses should be out growths of your purpose.

2. You need to be a good steward. You will probably want to be more involved than once a year or once every three months.

The important thing is that you design your business plan to fit the goals of true business ownership so you can viably add somthing to your asset column.

THIS BUSINESS IS HARD ENOUGH TO BUILD THAT YOU OUGHT TO BUILD IT TO LAST AND BUILD SOMETHING THAT CAN PROVIDE YOU SOME LEVEL OF SECURITY.

If something did happen to you where you couldn’t work, or something in life needed to take you away, you would want to have built something that you knew would allow you to leave and not worry about income.

So how is this possible pretty much imeadiatley?

One word.

Internet.

You have to learn to leverage the internet and its systems to be able to create true business ownership in MLM. There really isn’t any other way in our day, nor is there a better way.

If you want to start to get an idea of how this works, take a look at one of my internet systems, at http://andrewjamesinc.magneticsponsoringonline.com/

I look forward to your comments.

The Secret to THRIVING in an economic crisis like today

THE MAGIC SLOT MACHINE

You learn some profound lessons when you set out on the adventure of revolutionizing your life in every area. That is basically what I decided to do when I got into the industry of network marketing. I was dissatisfied with my self physically, socially, emotionally, and on many other levels. By the same token I had grown a lot from several experiences in my life where I had the opportunity to lead. I was good at a few things, I knew that I was smart and could learn anything, I was an amazing photographer and having just returned from two years of service for my church, I found that I loved helping people and coaching them through their problems. My sky was not as dismal and grey as one may imagine. Still, I was far from the mark I wanted to be at in many ways.

I set out on a journey to change all that, I am still on it and always will be because I discovered that it is a constant battle, not just an event. Something I have learned on my journey from scarcity to abundance, is the power of hope of one single individual. When I made decisions to change (by the way, along the way there are several of these moments) the one thing that gave me hope and confidence was my faith that if I worked, learned, and persisted I would be able to get anything I wanted. That was how my life had worked as a child, and could work that way once more.

This article is meant to be financial, and you may be asking yourself, “why is he telling me all this?” There is a profound financial, logical reason that I do so. One thing you have to understand about the network marketing industry is your main commodity, the business that you are in is one of people. More than that, you are the vehicle to get people from where they are to their dreams. The one thing you must understand is what motivates people and how to make it all work, and the raw ingreadiant are the people.

One of my mentors in the industry has reapeated this phrase over and over and over again. It is something simple, yet the most profound truth about our industry that I have ever encountered.

“The key to wealth creation in MLM is to get a large group of people to do a simple set of things, consistently over a long period of time.”

-Eric Worrey

That is it. This is a people game, but it is a game that requires A LOT of people to make it profitable. If you want to prosper you need a lot of people. Here is where emotion meets logic.

If you want to get a lot of people, where should you focus? On the group (or “target market”) with a lot of people in it? Or the group with few people in it?

Obviously it is the large group. The follow up question is, “do most people get into this industry because they already have all the money they want or do the come here to MAKE ALL THE MONEY THEY WANT?”

Again, the answer is obvious.

If you want to succeed in our economy today, you have to do things in a way that everyone can do.

Teach people the techniques that will allow the average person to prosper a little, then step it up from there and you will be amazed at how far this can all go. If you have a lot of money, or you have been building the business for a while and have freedom of schedule and plenty of time, guess what, THAT IS A LIABILITY! Most people don’t have that, and even if you find people who do have it, the people they find or their people will not have it. You must craft everything you do to make it possible for the person with the least amount of time and/or money to succeed.

What you need to help people find are the magic slot machines.

These are things where you put in $5 and get back $7 every time. Or maybe it is $25 and $27 back each time. There are two simple things I want to share with this concept.

1. You are a lot more valuable than you think. From now on, at a minimum, you must treat your time in your network marketing business as if you were worth at a minimum, $100 per hour. Each hour you invest into building your business, should be worth this at least. If you are more advanced, you may need to add a zero. When we talk about building our business the new way, there is a lot of discussion about advertising. That costs either money or time. For the purposes of our discussion today, use the $100 an hour metric, to measure any time that you put into your business, or into an activity that generates leads online. That means that 15 minutes of your time, is the equivilant of at least $25. Hence the numbers before.

2. Whether you invest time or money, “INVESTING MEANS: SET IT AND FORGET IT!” Telephone calls to prospects, team members, upline, ect DO NOT COUNT as an investment of your time or money. You see when you first start, you will probably have to invest more time than money, but we always have to be careful to make sure that it is an actual investment. Investments allow you to have something working for you without your time required. THIS IS WHAT ALLOWS PEOPLE TO GET WEALTHY. Everyone has 24 hours in a day, it is how we use it that makes the difference. If you put $25 towards advertising, great. You pay for it, set it, and come back and see what kinds of results you got. If you invest your time, I have to reiterate, you must spend it doing something, that when it is done, it is done! Make sure you are doing something that can work for you weather or not you do. This blog post is a great example. It didn’t cost me a dime. It cost me some time. When it is done, I am done. I post it, and it can keep working for me with or without me.

Now that we have defined those two rules, here is what I mean by a “Magic Slot Machine.” By the way, I can not claim any originality for the phrase “Magic Slot Machine” it was coined by the authors of MLM Traffic Formula.

It is something very very simple. A magic slot machine, is anything that you can invest on a consistent basis, a set amount of money (this includes your time $100 p/hr) and get more out, and all it requires of you is to do it. After it is done, you do not have to do anything else to make the cash register ring.

The key in our economy, is to find these magic slot machines. How can you advertise your information product in a cost effective way? What can people do for free to generate more leads? Find these little secret fishing holes and teach them to your team and you will be amazed at how much and how fast you succeed.
